About us
hop was born out of a love of travel but a deep frustration with the high price and hassle of roaming internationally.
Irked by long queues at the airport or the hassle of finding a local phone shop to buy a SIM card, and after hearing countless horror stories from loved ones who had returned from holiday to shock bills from their mobile network, we realised there must be a better way to get online whilst travelling.
hop was born by partnering with local mobile networks around the world, enabling us to offer you great connection at low cost.

Our commitment to sustainability
Despite their tiny size, physical SIM cards have a detrimental impact on our environment due to the energy and resources used in the production and distribution process. By contrast, estimates suggest that eSIM cards generate around 46% less¹ CO2 emissions.
But that's not enough for us. For every 1TB of data sold, we make a donation to the National Trust to enable them to plant a tree to help create a better, greener future.
